SO MUCH TO READ
The Nov/Dec 05 issue of Spring was like “wow!” There was so much to read and I can’t believe it’s free. The magazine is quite interesting, especially “Youth Forum”. I also liked the holiday stories. I don’t have enough money to go overseas yet, as I’m still studying and working part-time, but I’m sure going to check out Pulau Ubin with my friends. And now that I’m more informed about budget travel, especially using the Internet, I’m checking that out too, for fun!

This is the winning letter.
I DIDN’T KNOW THAT
I didn’t realise you could actually barbecue in parks (“A Good Grilling”). I thought you needed to hire a chalet or something. Also in “Staying Home For The Holidays” I read that you don’t need a permit to camp in the five parks including Pasir Ris. Thank you for the information. I’m a new fan of Spring as I find that you explain the North East to us in a very practical way. Keep up the good work!

OUR VERY OWN HERITAGE BUILDING
So that’s Matilda House! I used to go past and wonder what the building was. It certainly looks forlorn and ghostly. It would be nice if the URA kept it as a heritage building so that we have our own historical landmark in the North East. I’d also love to see the inside.
